About Us
The Western Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse League (WPYLA) is built on the foundation of growing the sport of lacrosse and developing youth lacrosse players of every skill level. WPYLA is a community-based league that offers players in grades K through 8th grade the opportunity to represent their community within the game of lacrosse.
Its principal goal is to build a fun, fair, competitive, and developmental experience for its players so that players of all backgrounds and skill levels have the opportunity to play this great sport. In the early age levels of 8U and 10U, players can learn the basics of beginner non-competitive gameplay. Our 12U and 14U age groups have multiple divisions of play so all level athletes have a place to develop their skills and further fall in love with the game of lacrosse.
WPYLA believes that the game of lacrosse teaches many lessons of sportsmanship and will help prepare its players for the future, whether on or off the field of play.
